Physical Forms

A sports physical is required to play any sport at YVHS and is good for one year. It is mandatory that an athelete has a sports physical done before participating in any try-outs or practices.

Boys Basketball

Trojan Boy's Basketball!

Coaches Travis Mahan and Gilbert Berry are eager to be coaching the JV and Varsity teams again this year and are anticipating it to be a great season for both teams.
Coach Berry is excited for the season and he's taking it one step at a time as far as competition. He hopes to have a deep playoff run, and the ultimate goal is to be the league champions this 2014-2015 season.

As always, the Trojans are determined to defeat our rivals, the 29 Palms Wildcats during season.
Another aspect Coach Berry is planning to focus developing a stronger work ethic than ever before. The team will emphasize on comradery, and developing unity by doing "mop-ups" which will bring the boys closer as a team. A challenge for Coach Berry this year is rebuilding his varsity team. He only has 2 returning seniors, as 7 players from the 2013-2014 have graduated.

New Season

The 2014-2015 boys basketball season is quickly approaching as fall has begun and winter is just around the corner. Currently, boys interested in playing basketball this season are able to begin conditioning this fall after school to prepare for tryouts.

Fundraiser

The men of Troy will be selling a Yucca Valley Basketball T-shirts this year as fundraising for the program. The program is also always in need of volunteers for  working the snack bar,  to film the games, keep score, etc.  If you are interested in volunteering contact Coach Mahan or Coach Berry. The major contributors to the team are Coach Berry, and Gilbert Berry Sr., who have the main responsibilities of the program.

Thank You.

We would also like to send a shoutout to Ms.Drake for buying the team Gatorade last season, thank you!
