AP Entrance Exam Information

AP Entrance Exam for AP English Language and AP US History

Current Sophomores or Juniors interested in taking AP English Language or AP US History in 2016-17 -- there is a scheduled pre-exam you need to take to see if you qualify. The test will be administered in the Lecture Hall on Monday, May 16 at 2:00 pm. Those students interested in taking either of these Advanced Placement courses, please report to the Lecture Hall immediately after school.

For students who have already taken and passed the AP Entrance Exam and who are currently enrolled in AP courses with a grade of C or better, DO NOT need to retake this exam. 


For all other AP Courses

If you have not yet chosen AP classes as an option for your schedule next year, please see the following teachers for course prerequisites and qualifications:

  • AP Chemistry: please see or email Mr. Thomas in room S3. Prerequisite: You must have taken Chemistry before.
  • AP Biology: please see or email Ms. Zacks in room T3. Prerequisite: You must have completed Chemistry with a grade of "C" or better, and Biology with a "B" or better (Honors Biology preferred).
  • AP Spanish: please see or email Ms. Riggs-Cuyno in room C1.
  • AP Calculus: please see or email Mr. Larson in room G1. Prerequisite: must have taken Pre-Calculus before.
  • AP Statistics: please see or email Ms. Siddall in room G4. Prerequisite: must have completed Algebra 2 and English with a grade of "C" or better

USC Summer Programs Scholarship

USC Summer Programs Office, within the Provost’s Office, is sponsoring a scholarship opportunity for high school students to attend the 2016 USC Summer Programs


The Provost’s Pre-College Summer Scholarship for Military High School Students seeks to provide full scholarships to students from a military family; the scholarship will cover the entire tuition and fees, airfare, ground transportation, room and board, and course materials.  


USC Summer Programs seeks to enhance, motivate, and inspire students to achieve higher academic, social, and ethical standards. The program is based on the following core values, which Scholars are expected to exemplify: a commitment to the value of education and developing community. The program offers students the chance to preview “freshman year” on a college campus.

The Counseling Department is excited to launch the use of a new program call Naviance.  Naviance is a college and career readiness platform that helps connect academic achievement to post-secondary goals.  Its comprehensive college and career planning solutions optimize student successenhance school counselor productivity, and track results for school and district administrators.

Students user ID and password is the same as their user ID and password for their online grades.

SAT Test Prep

California State University - San Bernardino is offering SAT Test Prep classes at both their Palm Desert and San Bernardino campuses. If you are interested in these classes, please click HERE for an informational flyer.


Jessica Morcilio is a tutor for all students who need extra help in their academics. She is available for Math,  English, History, and Science.  She will graduating with her AA degree  December of 2014 from Copper Mountain College. She is 22 years old. Looking at $15 an hour for tutoring, but can be negotiated.
